As winter rapidly approaches, we offer this comfort food recipe. Serve with your favorite salad and side and enjoy!
Barbeque Sauce can be made ahead of time to save prep time for your meal and can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
BBQ Sauce Ingredients:
3/4 cup ketchup
3 cloves garlic, finely-minced
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1.5 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoons curry powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients in a medium sized saucepan.
Bring to a boil while whisking constantly, then reduce heat to low, partially cover and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve immediately or cool, then store in the refrigerator up to a week.
Meatloaf Ingredients:
1.5 pounds Hawks Hill Ranch Wagyu ground beef
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 medium onion, finely minced
2 eggs
1.25 cup plain panko bread crumbs
1.25 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1.5 teaspoons course ground black pepper
1 teaspoon sea salt
Place all ingredients together in a large bowl and lightly mix by hand to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and press to form a loaf.
Cover the top with about 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce and bake for about 45 minutes to an hour at 350° or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Let rest for five minutes.
Slice and serve with a side of the sauce. Enjoy!
