Hawks Hill Ranch Wyoming Wagyu are DNA tested to ensure direct lineage to their Japanese heritage. Our Wagyu are 100% Full-Blood Wagyu.  They are NEVER crossbred.  We have 16/16 analyses done on all of our cows; we know exactly what percentage of each of the 3 Japanese Black Wagyu lines they come from.  Of the three strains of black Wagyu, Tajima are known for superior marbling. Our cows are a minimum of 45% Tajima, and then carry a percentage of Kedaka, known for superior marbling and strong maternal traits, and Shimane, known for strong structure and good milk.  This allows us to choose the right bull to optimize marbling, maternal traits, temperament, and physical characteristics. We keep our herd small, manageable, healthy, and in-demand by our loyal customers.

Hawks Hill Ranch Wagyu are never confined to a feedlot.  All of our animals have the ability to move around from mountain pasture, irrigated pasture, river bottom, and corrals.  A typical Hawks Hill Ranch Wagyu day consists of meeting in the corral for their grain, then lounging in the shade of the shelters for a nap, then off to graze the pasture and river bottoms in the afternoon and evenings. Stress is kept to an absolute minimum!

Our feed program has been specifically designed for Hawks Hill Ranch by a Wagyu Nutritionist, ensuring they are eating a natural healthy diet to optimize the amazing flavor and marbling of our beef.

Our results speak for themselves--our beef has been USDA graded at A-5 on the Wagyu grading scale, with a beef marbling score (BMS) of 12, ranking it in the top 1% of beef in the world.
